An Abstract Chinese Painting
Born in 1965 , Ren jain graduated from the chinese painting department of the Lu Xun Academy of Art in Shenyany .He created this 30- metre-long painting during the zenith of the '85 movement . The groups of young artists that emerged during the ' 85 movement can largely be divided into two painting style , namely Rationalist and Current of Life .
Though Ren was a founding memeber of the North Art Group , which was the most outstanding of the ' 85 Movement and generally regarded as Rationalist , the mythical elements and imaginative , surrealisticlandscapes in Primeval Choas revealed that he had both the Rationalist and Current of Life vision . This work exploresEastern and Western mystearies and creats abstract froms and images based on ancient Chinese , indian and even christian concepts of the beginning of the universe . Although still usage ink and brush , as well as the traditional mounting format , Ren discared the traditional themes -- namely landscapes with figures -- in fovour if a more mysterious vision of the creation and evolution of the cosmos .
